Friday, July 24 is Glow Night & Flight Suit Disco, a separate evening festival event. There are no flying displays on Friday. Gates open at 6:00 PM for a relaxed evening of food trucks, static aircraft displays, an ice cream social, the STEM area, and a chance to meet and greet the performers up close. Live music and a DJ run from 7:00 to 9:00 PM, with a spectacular balloon glow lighting up the field starting at 8:00 PM. It’s a great way to kick off the weekend in a more laid-back setting before the main airshow days. A separate ticket is required for Friday.

The aerial performances take place on Saturday, July 25 and Sunday, July 26 only. Gates open at 10:00 AM each day. Opening ceremonies begin at 12:30 PM, with flying displays running from1 pm . Both days also feature a full lineup of ground activities, food trucks, static aircraft displays, the STEM area,   a market and exhibitor area, autograph sessions with the performers, beer gardens, and more. A separate ticket is required for each day.

For sun and weather protection, we recommend bringing sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, a refillable water bottle, and a light jacket or rain layer, as Alberta weather can change quickly throughout the day.

For seating and comfort, please bring a lawn chair or picnic blanket, wear comfortable walking shoes, and consider ear protection—especially for young children—as aircraft demonstrations can be loud.

For food and beverages, guests are welcome to bring snacks and non-alcoholic drinks in a small soft-sided cooler, and a variety of food vendors will also be available onsite.

For extras, you may wish to bring a camera or phone for photos, a portable phone charger, and a debit or credit card for vendors and merchandise purchases.

For safety and security reasons, please leave pets (except certified service animals), alcohol, drones, BBQs or open flames, large hard-sided coolers, and weapons of any kind at home, as the event takes place on active airport grounds and bag checks may occur upon entry.

Guests may bring picnics and non-alcoholic beverages in soft-sided coolers. A variety of food trucks and vendors will also be onsite.

Pets are not permitted due to noise and crowds. Certified service animals are allowed with proper documentation and must be appropriately identified.

This is a limited capacity event and all tickets must be purchased in advance online. We would prefer if you buy the tickets to avoid the lineup

Yes. Parking passes are sold separately from event admission and must be purchased in advance through EventCamp. Parking is limited, so we strongly encourage you to purchase your pass well ahead of time to guarantee your spot and avoid delays at the gate.

If you have already purchased event parking, your digital parking pass will be emailed to you on July 22. Please check your inbox and your junk/spam folder. You can print the pass or show the digital copy on your phone at the gate. 

Please have your proof of purchase ready upon arrival. This is a limited capacity event and all admission is per ticket. Your digital ticket (printed or on your phone) will be required at the gate for entry. Having it ready will help keep traffic moving and get you to the action faster. 

Accessible parking is available. Please follow the signage and speak with parking volunteers upon arrival for assistance. 

The Red Deer Regional Airport is located just south of Red Deer, off Highway 2A near Springbrook.

Yes. With thousands of guests arriving in a concentrated window, please plan for extra time. We recommend arriving early and reviewing the Traffic Management Plan on our website before you head out.

No onsite camping is available. Nearby campgrounds and accommodations should be booked in advance.
